Step One.
Once we have an idea of the project requirements we will provide a scope document which will help you to anchor your design. Considering material, colour, lighting, planting, size and cost will give your project the best possible start. We are available for design consultation as much as you need. In 20 years of working with our panels we have proven solutions to all the most common obstacles.
Build.
Constructing green walls — and engineering urban ecosystems.
Our manufacturers engineer each panel component to exacting tolerances, ensuring consistent performance across every installation — whether a single interior feature or a multi-storey building facade. Our walls continue to perform structurally and horticulturally over the long term.
Our installation crews are specialists who understand how structures behave and how plants grow. They bring every design to life with the care and a technical rigour that living systems demand. From waterproofing and irrigation integration to final planting, every build is coordinated to protect the building, the plants, and the people inside.
Step Two.
From exacting BIM models we provide construction drawings and schedules. Our coordination models ensure seamless collaboration in 3D and provide material quantities and specifications. Whether new build or renovation you have the option to use your own contractors or take advantage of Butong´s own, experienced, installation team.

Growth is not a passive process. Our horticulturalists provide dedicated maintenance programmes tailored to each installation’s unique plant palette, aspect, and environment. Regular visits, seasonal adjustments, and proactive plant care ensure your green wall continues to flourish.

Step Three.
Butong panels are filled with a unique mix of volcanic and porous mineral substrates which provide excellent conditions for bare-rooted plants. Water-retention, even during the winter months, ensures consistent performance and longevity. Our green facade solutions are very low maintenance and we provide plant replacement as standard if required. We provide full documentation regarding upkeep of your new green wall.
